Hello!
My name is Jacob Fredriksson and I'm a Networking and IT Security consultant, living and working in Sweden. I’ve been writing this blog on and off since around 2017 when I started this blog as a fun side project.
What is this blog about?
This blog is mainly focused on Cisco products and networking technology in general. In the past years, I've been developing a big interest in secure network access, which you will probably notice. I also love making network diagrams and like to use them and other visuals to explain and make my points understood in the articles posted on this website.
Why am I writing this blog?
I am using this blog as a way to organize my notes regarding various "good-to-knows" and solutions to odd or specific problems I run into now and then, in the world of Networking and IT security.
I have always been fascinated by the Internet, which is why I had an easy time making my career choice when the time arrived. I wanted to know the ins and outs of it all. In my free time, I like to expand my knowledge by reading up on the latest tech and studying for various certifications.
The purpose of this website is pretty straightforward: I want to build a good resource with interesting topics that might help me and others in the field, as I’m a big believer in communities and people helping each other out, especially in the world of tech. I have no financial interest in chasing page clicks, running ads, or asking visitors to subscribe to some kind of newsletter, and I hope to keep it that way.
Maintaining this blog also gives me a chance to improve my English language and writing skills.
Final notes
When I’m not at the office, I like to spend my time working out, running, and playing videos games with my friends. Other than that, I have a broad interest in anything technology-related, gaming, ice hockey and space stuff.
All thoughts and opinions expressed on this website are my own and do not represent those of my employer, its partners, or Cisco.
